Free parking, lovely room and staff very helpfull. Good breakfast and served with a smile.
Had a couple in the room next to me having a huge, full on row from 1.30 am till 2.30 , then intermittent shouting and coming in and out of the room slamming the door then shouting wanting back in. If there was. Security in sails ury green all night it would have been sorted out and we would have had a good night sleep. That was the only con.
nice room, friendly staff and good breakfast, plus parking
Room was very clean, we had a large room and lovely bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was great, really enjoyed the fresh berries, staff were very friendly and were as helpful as possible.
The TV didn;t work for the whole of the weekend, and the electricity in the room was faulty. Although the staff did try to fix the problem, we had to put up with no electricity in the room for the whole weekend. The faulty also damaged some of our things.
Poor shower, very low pressure! did not seem to have any form of sound proofing between rooms.
The prompt and efficient way in which the heating problem in our room was dealt with. The helpfulness of the young man on reception, his knowledge of the area was good, he volunteered to carry our luggage to our room at the top!
E$njoyed the quiet atmosphere, trhe comfort, the building itself and the hills. Also very close to b uses.breakfast and service excellent
The staff were excellent, food really good and the location was ideal for our city break.
We liked everything about our second stay at the hotel, can't praise the staff, food, location, enough.
It was an ideal location for us as we were visiting the University. It was right next to Holyrood Park and Arthurs Seat, perfect for a run or a walk. The staff were very helpful, the room very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. About a 20 min walk into the city, passing some very good restraunts.
Quiet location friendly staff clean and spacious room with excelent breakfast choice and good quality
I liked the room and the breakfast.
I didn't like the location of the hotel. It is too far from city centre. I also didn't like the room that we have got as it was on ground floor, but I woudl rather say it was in the basement. The windows were above our heads and we could hardly reach them. Another thing I found odd was when we came in, it was 45 minutes before 2pm, when you usually get the room keys. They didn't want to give us the keys before exactly 2pm. I don't think that is the way you should treat a customer. The room was empty anyway.
The staff was great. Especially the older lady with short grey hair (I don't remember her name) in the breakfast saloon was wonderful. The castle appearance of the building was inspiring, and also the reception room with all those wood decorations. A beautiful place, indeed. We also liked the location near Holyrood park. Breakfast was excellent!
The room was a bit small. And it took sometimes too long for the receptionist to come and open the front door of the hotel.
Located in the Grounds of the University, this purpose built Hotel has a good breakfast, comfortable rooms & parking.
The stairwell wasn't in keeping with the age of the property & smelt vaguely like a hospital/school.
Salisbury Green hotel is fabulous and the breakfast are 5* quality.Well recommended.
Access to room, number of power points in room and delicious breakfast
